Remembering Michael Acord
Michael Acord was known throughout the motorcycle world as The Fat and Furious One.
What began as a passion for riding and customizing motorcycles became a recognizable voice within the performance-bagger community. Michael did not believe in leaving a motorcycle alone simply because it was already finished. There was always another idea, another component to try, another improvement to make, and another version of the bike waiting to be built.
His motorcycles reflected his personality: bold, carefully considered, unmistakably individual, and never truly finished.
But Michael’s legacy cannot be measured only by motorcycles, followers, parts, or builds. It lives in the people he encouraged, the friends he supported, the businesses he promoted, the conversations he started, and the countless times he quietly showed up for someone else.
He had a talent for convincing people to finally buy the part they had been considering: not merely because he liked new parts, but because he believed that building something exciting could bring genuine happiness.
Michael died on December 20, 2025, while riding Carbon Glide. He was 53 years old.
